ABSTRACTA new high pressure cell for neutron diffraction experiments using nano-polycrystalline anvils is presented. The cell design, off-line pressure generation tests and a gas-loading procedure for this cell are described. The performance is illustrated by powder neutron diffraction patterns of ice VII to ~82?GPa. We present two types of relativistic Lagrangians for the Lorentz–Dirac equation written in terms of an arbitrary world-line parameter. One of the Lagrangians contains an exponential damping function of the proper time and explicitly depends on the world-line parameter. Another Lagrangian includes additional cross-terms consisting of auxiliary dynamical variables and does not depend explicitly on the world-line parameter. The total synthesis of myxol stereoisomers 1a,b and deoxymyxol (plectaniaxanthin) stereoisomers 2a,b was accomplished by Wittig reaction of (S)- and (R)-C10-phosphonium salts 8a,b bearing a silyl-protected 1,2-dihydroxy-ψ end group with C30-apocarotenals 6 and 7. The phosphonium salts 8a,b were derived from aldehydes 11a,b possessing a cyclopentylidene ketal moiety, prepared via Sharpless asymmetric epoxidation of allylic alcohol 12 followed by regioselective cleavage of the oxirane ring. We established an analytical HPLC method using a chiral column to separate stereoisomers 1a,b and 2a,b and thus determined the absolute configurations of the natural products. The HPLC analyses established that both myxol and deoxymyxol isolated from bacteria have the 2′S-configuration. 相似文献

Fe3O4 powders, whose average particle sizes were 400 nm, 100 nm, and 10 nm in diameter, were prepared in order to investigate the effect of particle size on their electrochemical activity. X-ray diffraction and electron microscopy measurements confirmed that all the prepared samples were identified as inverse-spinel type Fe3O4, whose crystallite/particle sizes were between 400 nm and 10 nm. We found that the electrochemical activity of Fe3O4 in a lithium salt electrolyte was enhanced with a decrease in the particle size from 400 nm to 10 nm. The 10 nm nanocrystalline Fe3O4 powder demonstrated the high discharge capacities of about 130 and 160 mAh g−1 with a satisfactory capacity retention as the active cathode material of Li and Na batteries, respectively. 相似文献

A corona-charged aerosol detector (CAD) was developed to improve the sensitivity, reproducibility and quantitativeness of detection as compared to evaporative light-scattering detector (ELSD) for liquid chromatography. Our laboratory used the corona CAD as a detector for supercritical fluid chromatography (SFC) and evaluated its performance compared to the ELSD by using a certified reference material of poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) and a well-defined equimass mixture of uniform PEG oligomers. The corona CAD was able to detect a 10 times more dilute solution of uniform oligomers compared to the ELSD. Although the original data of molecular mass by ELSD was 4.6% smaller than the certified value of PEG 1000, molecular mass distribution obtained by corona CAD was virtually almost the same as the certified value without any calibrations. 相似文献

The solid-electrolyte interphase (SEI) is key to stable, high voltage lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) as a protective barrier that prevents electrolyte decomposition. The SEI is thought to play a similar role in highly concentrated water-in-salt electrolytes (WISEs) for emerging aqueous batteries, but its properties remain unknown. In this work, we utilized advanced scanning electrochemical microscopy (SECM) and operando electrochemical mass spectrometry (OEMS) techniques to gain deeper insight into the SEI that occurs within highly concentrated WISEs. As a model, we focus on a 55 mol/kg K(FSA)0.6(OTf)0.4 electrolyte and a 3,4,9,10-perylenetetracarboxylic diimide negative electrode. For the first time, our work showed distinctly passivating structures with slow apparent electron transfer rates alike to the SEI found in LIBs. In situ analyses indicated stable passivating structures when PTCDI was stepped to low potentials (≈−1.3 V vs. Ag/AgCl). However, the observed SEI was discontinuous at the surface and H2 evolution occurred as the electrode reached more extreme potentials. OEMS measurements further confirmed a shift in the evolution of detectable H2 from −0.9 V to <−1.4 V vs. Ag/AgCl when changing from dilute to concentrated electrolytes. In all, our work shows a combined approach of traditional battery measurements with in situ analyses for improving characterization of other unknown SEI structures. 相似文献

Apatite-type silicate supported precious metal catalysts were prepared and investigated for their catalytic activity in selective catalytic NO reduction. Single-phase La9.33Si6O26 and La8.33ASi6O25.5 (A=Ca, Sr, Ba) were obtained by a sol-gel method. Pd/La9.33Si6O26 catalyst exhibited high activity for oxidation of C3H6, comparable to Pd/Al2O3 catalyst, although the specific surface area of La9.33Si6O26 was lower than that of Al2O3. In addition, Pt/La9.33Si6O26 catalyst exhibited higher activity for selective catalytic reduction of NO than Pt/Al2O3 catalyst. Substitution of Ba2+ for La3+ of La9.33Si6O26 led to increased catalytic activity at low temperature. 相似文献
